Nexus Project

West Arunta (WAR) REE & Lithium Project (Nexus)

The Nexus Project is located in the West Arunta of Western Australia’s Kimberley region, approximately 5 kilometres from the remote community of Kiwirrkurra.  The project comprises three (3) granted exploration licences covering an area of approximately 600 square kilometres.

 

Attention has been focused on the West Arunta region through the discovery of high-grade carbonatite hosted niobium deposits by explorers in the region.

 

APC’s initial exploration program will commence at Nexus in 2025, and will comprise air-borne electromagnetic (EM) surveys, and ground based gravity surveys, rock chipping and outcrop mapping.

Community Engagement

During 2023 the Company engaged with the representative body for the traditional owners of the country where the Nexus project is located. The Tjamu Tjamu (Aboriginal Corporation) Registered Native Title Body Corporate represents the exclusive possession native title holders, the Pintubi people. The area is also an Aboriginal Reserve.

 

The Company executed a Land Access Agreement for Exploration withe Tjamu Tjamu AC in September 2024. The agreement recognises the Native Title rights and interests in the whole of the area of the Native Title Determination including the area covered by the Nexus Project. Typical for an agreement of this type, it summarises the rights and obligations of the parties and importantly describes the pathway for work program approvals.
